Exclusive: Republicans Launch "Save Our Pouches" Group
"Expect ads in swing states targeting infrequent voters who like Zyn and are confused why Democrats would target this instead of fixing the border or the economy," I'm told
The Democrats’ war on fun reached new heights a few weeks ago when Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced that he’d like to crack down on…Zyn.
Not a crackdown on fentanyl. Not a plan to secure our border. A crackdown on Zyn pouches–which I don’t even use! In response to this Zynsanity, Republicans launched Save Our Pouches–a group now live at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
The group is opposing Schumer’s proposed “federal crackdown on nicotine pouches,” with a petition at SaveOurPouches.com.
In the coming months, I’m told that the group will go “to sporting events to register voters and get Republican turnout.” Brian Colas, a veteran GOP pro, who’s a longtime member of Senator Tom Cotton’s orbit, tells me to “expect ads in swing states targeting infrequent voters who like Zyn and are confused why Democrats would target this instead of fixing the border or the economy.”
My friend Greg Price did an incredible interview on the Vince Coglianese Show where he warned that Schumer may be asking for a Zynsurrection with his move.
“They fear a society when a man wakes up in the morning, drinks black coffee, pops a cool mint upper decky, and takes on the world,” Price memorably said. “A man with nicotine, protein, caffeine, and creatine coursing through his veins is an unstoppable force. Imagine if Joe Biden had a couple smooth sixes that he took every day. Maybe he’d know where to walk when he finished his speeches.”
This is far from an isolated incident in the Democrats’ war on normal people. Last year, President Joe Biden’s alcohol czar, George Koob, announced that Americans might want to limit their alcohol consumption to two drinks a week.
