EXCLUSIVE: Audio Reveals Congressman was NOT Arguing for America to Nuke Gaza
No, Congressman Tim Walberg does not want America to nuke Gaza–or Russia. If you have 3 brain cells, that is obvious–but he does want both regimes to fail
Michigan Congressman Tim Walberg started a firestorm when he claimed that America should nuke Gaza, a la Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
As you’ll see…there’s far more going on here than what barely-read local Michigan outlets covered.
There’s only one problem here…that’s not what he said at all, but what happened here is a great example of how brain-dead sycophants make mountains out of molehills.
At a town hall in Dundee, Walberg was asked about President Joe Biden’s insane plan to help build a port in Gaza as Israel wages a war against the Palestinian terrorists who invaded southern Israel on October 7th, kidnapping and murdering well over 1,200 people–including Americans.
Following Walberg’s town hall, a Resist Twitter account, @WhitchMI, tweeted the following:
Michigan Congressman Tim Walberg, pastor and "good" Christian, talks about his solution for #Gaza: Give it the Hiroshima treatment. "Get it over quick."
A sitting US Rep in a secret town hall feels comfortable musing positively about genocide. Listen. Share.

The video was amplified almost immediately by some of Hamas’s greatest allies in the media, like The Intercept’s Prem Thakker, who took a break from promulgating Palestinian propaganda in State Department press conferences to tweet “Wow. Michigan Republican Representative Tim Walberg, on Gaza: ‘We shouldn’t be spending a dime on humanitarian aid. It should be like Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Get it over quick.’”
Here’s what Walberg actually said, which has not been reported in a single news outlet anywhere–but that’s what you read this site for!
“It’s Joe Biden, the reason, we need to get humanitarian aid into Gaza. I don’t think we should. I don’t think any of our aid that goes to Israel, to support our greatest ally, arguably maybe in the world, to defeat Hamas and Iran and Russia, and probably North Korea is in there and China too, with them, helping Hamas. We shouldn’t be spending a dime on humanitarian aid. It should be like Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Get it over quick. The same should be in Ukraine. Defeat Putin quick. Instead of 80% of our funding for Ukraine being used for humanitarian purposes, it should be 80%, 100% to wipe out Russian forces, if that’s what we want to do.”
Listen to the audio yourself here–and do what 99% of “journalists” never will!
Walberg’s point, which is that we should not be funneling money to our enemies during wartime, has been true for all of human history. While staff writers at The Intercept and Twitter BlueAnon trolls seem to have forgotten that Palestinian terrorists continue to hold Americans hostage in unspeakable conditions, people with more than five brain cells have not.
Walberg’s point is simple. Defeat the enemy, don’t do their jobs for them. Did anyone advocate for us resupplying Japan after Pearl Harbor? Of course not. And, following World War Two, when we completely dismantled the Japanese military and crushed its empire, we helped the country rebuild into a functional society, not an imperial, fascistic empire.
You can surely debate the merits of us nuking Japan twice, but here’s a tidbit that should put that decision in context. We are still giving out the Purple Hearts that had been made in anticipation of our invasion of Japan. The amount of American lives we saved runs up into the hundreds of thousands.
Furthermore, there has been precisely no coverage of Walberg’s subsequent sentence, advocating for doing “the same [] in Ukraine. Defeat Putin quick…it should be 80-100% to wipe out Russian forces, if that’s what we want to do.”
Would anyone seriously think that Walberg is advocating for us to nuke Russia? Not if you are a thinking human. Plus, the logistics of Hiroshima-ing Gaza make no sense because it would obviously devastate Israel as well.
But, does that stop keyboard warriors? Obviously not; facts never do. Marisa Kabas, a woman I have literally never heard of, runs a blog called The Handbasket. Kabas, breathlessly, tweeted that she “reached out to the offices of all 22 Democrats who voted to censure Rep. @RashidaTlaib because of her comments on Israel/Palestine to see if they planned to do the same for her Republican colleague from Michigan.”
Stunning. And brave. What you see here is an obviously stupid attempt to compare how Rashida Tlaib peddled literal Hamas propaganda, for which she has never apologized, to Walberg, advocating for our ally to quickly win a war that Americans have been slaughtered in. The only similarity here is that Tlaib and Walberg are both elected officials from Michigan.
We just spent an entire news cycle where journos lied to us about Donald Trump’s “bloodbath” pledge, which had nothing to do with a real bloodbath, but was in fact about our auto industry.
I’ve written before about how literal fake news propaganda, along with so-called “news outlets” have been going all out to peddle straight up incorrect information about everything from Wisconsin Senate candidate Eric Hovde’s charities to Congressman Andy Ogles’s agitation for the destruction of Hamas–and there is of course, no sign that any of these lies will stop any time soon.
Look at the coverage of “Tim Walberg Hiroshima” and you’ll see this for yourself. Not a single one of these outlets ran what Walberg actually said! Ask yourself why.
We’re rapidly closing in on November’s elections; Democrats and their allies in the media–which includes virtually every “journalist”–are clearly signaling they will do whatever it takes to drag Joe Biden over the finish line.
Unfortunately for them, readers are vastly smarter than journalists. Now you know what this latest news cycle was about: nothing.
